Initial contact will begin with a free 15 minute phone consultation to decide if meeting in person is well-suited. From there, an intake evaluation appointment will be scheduled to gather comprehensive information about you to help guide your treatment needs. The goal is to get an in-depth picture of who you are and what brings you to therapy as well as to answer questions you may have about my practice. It is important that both the client and therapist are a good fit for working together before engaging on the journey. If treatment is mutually agreed upon, we will begin establishing goals for therapy. If it is determined that I am not the best choice to work with you, I will provide a referral.
Typically therapy sessions are once a week and last for 45 minutes. Depending on the circumstances, therapy may take place more or less frequently.
If you are living with any disabilities that you'd like me to know about, please discuss this with me if any specific accomodations are needed. I strive to create an accessible service.
We can discuss fees for therapy services and payment over the phone prior to your initial consultation. If you plan to use insurance, I'm in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Presbyterian, and New Mexico Health Connections.
Services may be covered in part by your health insurance for out-of-network behavioral health services. Please check with your provider prior to starting therapy for reimbursement rates, number of allowed visits and possible deductible. I can provide you with a billing statement which you can then submit for reimbursement. Please note that you are responsible to pay for services as they are rendered and then seek reimbursement from your insurance company.
* There is a minimum 24-hour cancellation policy or a $50 fee may be charged. It is important to show up for all scheduled appointments. Of course there are unexpected and unavoidable circumstances at times, so communication is key. No shows may be charged for the full session fee.
