I have 25 years of experience working in the field ranging in various capacities with youth, adults, couples, and families.  I have extensive training and experience working with transgender, non-binary, and lgbq+ communities. I currently only work with adults for psychotherapy via telehealth. I enjoy working with parents of lgbtq+children of all ages to navigate being the most supportive parent you can be. My style is utilizing a framework that validates your unique experience, while offering guidance to get unstuck from habitual patterns that can be harmful to yourself and others.

  • In addition to traditional talk therapy and skills building, I often incorporate experiential methods including mindfulness techniques, meditation, artistic expression, and sandplay therapy. Areas of focus and interest in my clinical practice include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem, transgender, non-binary and lgbq+ issues, anti-racism and anti-oppression work, attachment and complex family dynamics,  trauma resiliency, fertility challenges, postpartum issues, and work-life balance.

  • I'm an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) approved by the NM Social Work Board and can provide supervision services for licensure and otherwise (BSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCSW, and LPCC).

What I offer

I offer compassionate care and consulting with a dedication to social justice, cultural humility, and empathic connection.

Sandplay Therapy - I have been training in Jungian Sandplay since 2010 working with adults and youth. I am credentialed as a Registered Sandplay Practitioner (RSP) through the Sandplay Therapists of America (STA).  I have been a presenter for STA at a virtual national conference as well as for the New Mexico Sandplay Society.

  • I offer personal process for clients as well as therapists interested in sandplay.  For information about sandplay, please visit www.sandplay.org

Mindfulness - I have 20+ years of experience with meditation and mindfulness practice and incorporate techniques with interested clients. I began offering meditation and self-care groups for therapists and other healing providers starting in 2013. These groups are available upon request and availability.

In addition to psychotherapy and supervision services, I offer professional development opportunities, coaching, and consultation services.  These services are not limited to New Mexico and extend throughout the United States.  I work with individuals, groups, and agencies to support them with increasing their confidence and competence to better meet their mission including:

  • Consultation around policy development and implementation with an equity and inclusion framework.  This includes addressing systematic oppression and utilizing a social justice lens to work toward systemic change and collaborate with/link to various BIPOC and LGBTQ+ focused resources.

  • Responding to provider and organization requests to improve service delivery for LGBTQ+ clients as well as creating a more supportive environment for LGBTQ+ employees.

  • Support in properly addressing secondary trauma and burnout prevention.

  • Coordination and collaboration of retreats that support creating  more mindful communities and environments including work culture and work-life balance.

  • Coaching for those interested in starting a private practice
